Expenses stay in IndexedDB on this device. No accounts, analytics, ads, or bank connections. Spending records are never sent to a server.
Keep a backup somewhere safe.
Clearing Safari website data, removing app data, browser storage eviction, or losing your phone can erase your records. There is no server copy. Safari and the Home Screen app may have separate storage: use backup and restore to move records between them.
Restore accepts up to 2,000 expenses and files smaller than 20 MB, and replaces all current records after confirmation. JSON is the restorable format; CSV is for spreadsheets. CSV text fields include a protective tab to prevent formula interpretation. Save backups in Files or another safe location.
